I am so tired of getting leads that provide wrong numbers or never respond back and then being denied a refund. I have been a top pro for years now and have spent a lot of money, but I'm going to go another route if something doesn't change

I’m getting hosed also. Lead prices far exceeding maximums. Leads that aren’t leads. Customers instant booking w out having any idea what they are doing. I can’t afford this. I also can’t support a company that does bad business

Has anyone been experiencing fake leads? Same name in two different cities? Or same information in one lead as another? Ver questionsable leads here.

@nicole2381 Sorry this has happened! Did you report the customer? If not, please do - we do have systems in place to catch duplicate or spam leads, but sometimes they don't get caught. If you suspect it is spam/scam please report it. In case you don't know where to do that - it is in the messenger with the customer - you'll see 3 dots, click on that and then click "report". Feel free to send me the names too and I can look into it. Same for you @chilogm1

Hi Dusti, I did report it and no reply. I also had another one that I reported today in which the lead was for the the hours up to 12pm. My profile shows that I do not start until 12pm but I was charged anyway and Thumbtack won't refund me. I have been working with your company for 2 years now and it is really frustrating with how I get charged for jobs that are not in my description or that are fake leads.

I am getting a boatload of false leads with no one even looking at the messages. What’s the point of getting a false lead. I’ve tried getting a refund and no help there. I’ve also been sent drug messages asking me to come visit them at the hospital. Again, no refund. Please help!

@Mediation1 Could you please send me a DM with the folks asking about drugs? Just the name of the customer so I can look into it? Thank you.

Also whoever does mediation please make sure there isn’t a restraining order in place before you reach out to the other to mediate. Thumbtack still made me pay for the lead even after telling them this.
