I’ve reached out to Thumbtack Support about this before but unfortunately never received a clear answer, so I’m hoping someone can provide one.

Previously, Thumbtack Pros were able to block off specific hours on a particular day. For example, if I was unavailable for two hours on a Saturday, I could simply block those two hours while keeping the rest of the day open for potential clients.

Now, that option is gone. We’re forced to either block the entire day or leave the entire day open.

My question is: why was this feature removed?

This change is extremely frustrating because it seems objectively worse for both Pros and potential clients. Pros lose the ability to accurately show their availability, and clients may either contact someone who isn’t actually available or miss the opportunity to book a Pro who is available for most of that day.

I genuinely want to understand who this change benefits and what the reasoning was behind removing such a useful scheduling feature.

I would appreciate a clear answer rather than a generic support response. Thank you.
