Thumbtack is mining our sensitive clipboard data through the pro app.

Every time you press any key on the keyboard on your phone while using the Thumbtack app for pros, Thumbtack stores the content you have copied on your phone currently. This means anything you have copied currently on your phone is taken and stored by Thumbtack as a data mining tool.

This is a massive invasion of our privacy and of our clients’ privacy. I copy sensitive information and paste it to customers quite frequently, as well as copy sensitive information they send me. This is unacceptable, and after I have given this post a few days to be seen by other pros to warn them, if Thumbtack has not changed this policy, I will be deleting my account, alerting all of my past clients of this invasion of privacy, and I recommend others do the same.
