I'm a photogrpaher that does events and family portraits.

The only category that covers that is 'Weddings and Events'.

I do NOT do weddings, and never will.

But I keep getting leads asking for just that, or checking the 'other' box and then writing 'wedding'' in the description.

Weddings should be a separate sub-category, all by itself.

It should be easy enough to parse the description box and suggest a different category/sub that more closely matches that text.

And from other Pro's, I read that similar issues exist in many categories.

I've made this 'suggestion' numerous times to 'support', but it doesn't seem to have gained any traction.

Re: Categories/sub-categories

@PhoenixPhotog thanks for sharing your feedback on this with our support teams. We definitely don't want pros getting charged for leads that they don't do. If you've set your targeting preferences to exclude weddings and the customer has put that in the job you should see much fewer of them with the option to accept or decline if they ever do come your way. If they use "other" and it later on becomes clear that it is a wedding then be sure to request a refund through your Payments section.
