Thanks for taking a moment to share your thoughts with us here. Our system is not set up to throttle leads to veterans on Thumbtack. Occasionally, we'll boost a new pro's account in search results to help them get off to a good start but the amount of leads you get is mostly reliant on how well you fit a customer's job. You can help boost your own rank in search results by focusing on these five factors. First, work to get your past customers to leave you reviews. This will help customers know you're the right choice. Second, ensure your pricing is completely filled out so customers can know what to expect when hiring you. Third, be sure your profile is completely filled out and up to date. Fourth, be responsive. Whether you're letting them know you're unavailable or sending a response to a customer, timing is key. Lastly, make sure you've set all of your preferences with promote so that we can be sure to send you the right customers. Focusing on these five aspects will help you find more success on Thumbtack. Our team is always happy to take a look at your account and see how we can help you to see the success you'd like to see.
@SvetZ that is correct that you can have up to 10 reviews from customers outside of Thumbtack. Personal training in the LA area is extremely competitive so that may be why you're seeing it differ from the other cities that you work in. I would recommend quoting on jobs in the Opportunities tab to get in contact with customers - when they respond, make sure you respond quickly so that you have a great response time. I would also recommend adding some past projects to your profile to get that fully completed.
@needsmorecoffee You're not the only one.
I'm on "Promote" and I get about ONE lead per month, if that. All of them so far are ghosts (with the exception of one who said she'd get back to me "if" she could afford my services - meanwhile my prices are in my profile. And of course, I never heard back after that).
I've earned zero revenue from Thumbtack "leads" this year. TT has only earned $28.00 in lead charges so far for 2019, whereas the three years prior to Promote & Instant Match, I was spending about $100-200 per month in leads and was getting hired left and right.
And there never any leads in the Jobs tab either. Sadly, TT is no longer a valuable resource for my business. I hope that changes down the line, but it's not looking like it will.
I'm fairly new to all of this. Are you open to conversation. I would love to talk to someone with more TT experience. 517-962-3953. Thanks!
