I'm rekindling my relationship with Thumbtack after almost a year. I can't understand why the app resets my sort (display) choices to default (all selected) each time I reopen the app (or bring to the front/top.
Has anyone else noticed this?
If so, what's your work around?

I'll work on a screen shot since that's on my phone.
Since I have some troubleshooting experience, I'll run through my process as a time line might look like in terms of "what's happening:"
1) Click Thumbtack icon
2) Click 'Requests'
(decide there's too much info lol)
3) Click 'Categories'
(all possible categories are selected)
4) Deselect several categories
5) Press Apply
6) [Feel grateful for less information ]
7) Switch to another app
8) Return to Thumbtack app and see categories seemed to stay deselected
9) Press the "back" arrow to exit the app
10) Reopen the app
11) Check the "Categories" menu
12) All categories are once again selected
[So far, the logic seems to be "opening the app means the user wants to start "fresh" not from where they might have left off"] My comment would be that as a user (who happens to have a wide variety of jobs); designing the "Categories" so they function like a saved preference would be preferred.

@CoachBobbyG Yes, that's very helpful! No need for a screenshot, I know exactly what you're talking about. So, as of right now, when you go to your requests and filter by categories and then leave the app, it will un-apply that filter. When you come back, you'll need to go through the categories again and reselect the ones you want to see.
I went ahead and sent in your feedback about this as I can see how it would be helpful to come back to the filter still applied. Thanks for bringing this up!
