I just became a top pro back in July. Today I got an email to send thumbtack my entire address and name. The email looks 100% correct. But when I click the link, it opens a google form which does not make sense. Did anyone else get this email today?
Did other pros get this email below. I just wanted to see before I replied with my info
And the email was from firstname.lastname@example.org
Thumbtack already has your name and address.
pro.thumbtack.com’s server IP address could not be found..
Sounds fishy to me.
Thanks for reaching out about this @TechFIX. I can confirm that the email you received is legitimate - an email was sent to all Top Pros asking them to update their addresses. We did this because we want to make sure we have the correct mailing address on file so that if and when we send Top Pros swag, it's going to the right place.
Wouldn't it have been much cleaner just to send us an email asking us to log into our TT account, go to Profile and confirm our address is correct? Why send a Google Form when you have all the infrastructure in place to capture and update this information today?
