Calendar

I had a hole week blocked off in the calender because i got hurt on a job. But thumbtack seems to think its okay to send 56 dollars a day on average of prepayed leads to me. During the days i have blocked off. They claim if the customer states they are open to other dates its now there way of bypassing the calendar function. I thought the the point of having a calendar to block off days was to prevent being charged for leads that you're not available for? After talking to support personal and now management i now know thumbtack is not really there for its contractors. This calander function has not worked since i have started. They claim to want to fix it but then desighn a way around it for profits. I see alot of other people posting with the same problem. Whats going on ?

Re: Calendar

@bill1967 if your calendar is blocked off, we definitely don't want you to be charged for leads for those particular dates. However, if a customer is open to another date that you do have available, they will be able to contact you. I'm more than happy to look into this situation for you if you'd like. Just send me a private message with the names of the customers and I'll dig into it and see what I can do to help!

Re: Calendar

@Meckell you did not answer my questions? Even when a contractor verbaly tells thumbtack he can not work for a week. Thumbtack still feels that its ethicaly and moraly correct to push and charge the contractor for leads. Even when the calender is blocked off. You can not simply fix this. It comes from corporate down. All you can dow is bring the problem to light and hope they fix there morals.

Re: Calendar

@bill1967 I certainly understand your concerns and as I said previously I'm more than happy to jump in and take a look at this for you. When a customer says they are open to other dates, we would hate for you miss out on a future job opportunity that could help bring in extra revenue for your business, especially when you have to take time off for an injury. Send me a private message and we can help look into the situation and work with you to get this resolved.
