I started working in restaurants young. As I got older, I started wanting more of a connection. In Europe, you see that intimacy at meal time where everybody stops and is a part of something. I wanted to bring that vibe to my work as a chef. I live part-time in France, and when I’m there, I talk to clients a couple times a day. Then when I come back, I’m almost all booked up with Thumbtack clients. It gives me my freedom.
