I would like to know how to check on where I am ranking from time to time. Please explain ways to move up. Although this is not about ranking, please explain how you determine that I have "paid because it is a match". When I receive this message it is usually for a request that matches less than others. Thank you for asking for feekback on this very important topic. When I started my business I immediately thought of Thumbtack to find customers because I had used the service to find pros and was happy with the service. Thumbtack proved to be exactly what I needed to get up and running. Sadly, all the changes have been to the detriment of my business. Because of the huge increase in cost over such a short time, the lack of control I have over communicating with potential clients and the unclear pricing structure, I don't see how I can afford the service much longer. I made a phone call to try to understand why I wasn't getting the results I had been consistently seeing for a year and a half. The very nice person at Thumbtack looked at my profile, which is labled as "Super Strong" and "Top Pro" and he really couldn't figure it out either. That leads me to believe the problem is rooted in all the changes. Thumbtack, the pricing structure may seem clear to you, but you can't keep everyone up to speed when you implement SO many variables. I must keep track of money spent and it is impossible with the way things work on Thumbtack. It is a shame that such a helpful service has now become a burden to those of us trying to build a small business. Although I used to recommend Thumbtack to anyone and everyone I knew, I can't do that in good conscience right now. Look at all the comments. People are frustrated and unhappy. Please rethink some things.
