Just seems like another way for Thumbtack to make money without doing any work. Over the past year or so you have continued to, in my view, downgrade the service for the providers and make them pay more. You complicate a simple concept that has meant less business opportunities for me with higher costs... please figure it out!!!!

I agree with everyone who has commented about the pricing structure. My focus on Thumbtack is resumes and career coaching. When I started it was about $5-6 to quote and was limited to 5 pro quotes. Reasonable I would say considering the people who use Thumbtack to find someone for these services dont want to pay more that around $100. Now, when I go to quote it indicates that if someone just reaches out to me it will be $20+. As well, now they allow at least 15 other pros to quote. Higher costs with less chances to get selected. At $100 or so the profitability for pros is significantly reduced when you are charged on a contact. Seems I am spending more and getting less opportunities. I would suggest to Thumbtack leaders that they are going to put themselves out of business, or it looks like they may be attempting to build value getting ready to sell or spin off. I hate that I have to limit my engagement with Thumbtack but costs are certainly higher than income, and that is disappointing.
