Thank you TT for all these years of business, it was great and a game changer for me, but now its all over. Since you decide to become a Listing of professionals (like yellow pages or yext) our dedication and proactivity within TT it doesn't pay any more, the only thing we need to do is make sure we have promote ON and have a nice profile... then we just wait for people to contact us, hoping to get some good match so we don't waste our money. this new business model you had implemented will slowly kick out all the real pros, and feed for a while beginners, part-timers, etc. until the users realized that using TT is a waste of time because they will not be able to find qualified professionals and then TT will be slowly fading away too. THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS Im quoting blind because we dont know the budgets, so this "leads" are replying to me"t he fee is too far outside my budget" or asking me How much do I charge, when my fee is stated on my orginal message. And when I tell them again, my fee no more contact.... I do understand from you feedback yesterday your prices are not like others who use our site and have experience that they might not. I wanted to give you a little insight into the messaging between each customer: Albert: looks like you could send a second follow up see if he is interested. Merry: conversation started yesterday and I recommend a follow up. Tina: She stated she wanted email follow up to you estimate. Jacquie: stated budget was too high but there was no follow up with finding a common ground for pricing. We do leave it up to you to win the job and discuss pricing with the customers in order to get work. I am noticing once a customer stats that your prices are too high there is not a follow up to what is a price they are willing to pay. For now, I cannot offer refund, but I am willing to offer a refund for Jacquie and Albert once there is follow up with all the customers. @Kameron@ you are right, we don't have to cut our fees, at least I'm not doing that, I valued my job and I'm not going to get in a price war. BUT, @DefiningImagery is right, you are NOT treating us as your real CLIENTS, you are treating us like an employee who has not says giving us the option "my way or the highway" or "if you don't like it, there is the door". You take away from one of the most valuable tools to Identify the good clients. BUDGET. Your reason to that was very disrespectful to us, saying that we use it to rip off the clients... let me ask you why we need to put budgets for you, and you don't let us get budgets from TT users? Luckily you are not the only site of leads anymore... YOUR BAD CALLS, BAD MOVES, your STUBBORNNESS has made them grow so much lately, as I mention to my Pro-Assistant, I'm getting the same lead on both sites..... A) Charge $20/$25 and give me the phone number B) charge me $62 and it's cutting my tools and giving me a hard time to work with...... @MichelleT Yes, you owe us an apology big time. We are loosing money since all this start. And you double your earning on us. Check my stats. Its a fact. Im spending MORE for LESS. Not to mention, the time I spend complaining with my Pro Assistant over the phone + the emails I have to send.
You keep talking to us as we are your employees, and you talk about USERS as your clients. WE ARE YOUR CLIENTS, WE ARE PUTING THE MONEY.
So If you think budget is not important, WHY you are asking us a WEEKLY BUDGET????
If we follow your logic, that we raise prices if we know the users budget, WE CAN THINK YOU CHARGE US MORE, BASE ON OUR WEEKLY BUDGET!.
Many figured out what was going on and set their budgets lower as a negotiating tactic. THEY KEEP DOING THAT, BUT NOW WE HAVE TO PAY TO FIND OUT THEY WANT TO PAY $300 FOR A FULL DAY PHOTOSHOOT!
People who weren’t sure just picked the lowest option by default. - Well you never give them the option OTHER where they can write their own budget or explain that they cant figure it out.

All these modifications on TT system are getting worst... They claimed is better for "US" (?) Since they deleted the field for users to show their budgets we are having more crappy leads, because we can not filter good leads from bad... Now, I displayed my Fee, nice and clear.... they user liked my portfolio but he wants to pay less and replied trying to bargain my price... I said NO..... and guess what TT did? CHA-CHING!!!!! $30.00 These are their responses to me: Any sort of bargaining or price negotiation is something you'll need to address with the customer. This is a common occurrence in a business transaction and wouldn't affect the cost or validity for this particular contact. At this point, it's up to you to sell the customer on your services and show them the value of your work, which I'm sure you'll be great at! ------------ Again, customers discussing the price with you and negotiating is a common occurrence. This happens on or off Thumbtack, and the fact that this customer is engaged in conversation with you qualifies it as a valid lead. We facilitated this connection between you and the customer, and now the job is yours to win! We realize that some jobs are more valuable than others, so we try to make the price you pay for each customer contact reflect that. You pay a different amount for each contact based on whether we believe the job is more valuable or less valuable. ------ I'm sorry about your frustration, Diego. This is a clear sample why is not working. Let the lead include a budget with the option • I'm not sure. this will help me to filter cheap lead from good ones... like we were doing for the last 4 years. Im paying WAY MORE now than before and this is a fact, you can check my payments against my hires.
