About a month ago we celebrated pros sharing knowledge with each other with Top Pro Tips, which you can still see here . Today we’re excited to share a new entry in the series, this time featuring Nora, owner of Konorebi Murals. We met up with her at an event we recently hosted at our San Francisco headquarters and asked her all about her experiences as a business owner.
Nora spoke of the difficulties of managing her schedule and connecting with clients when she was first starting out in her business. Check out the video and attached playlist at the end to hear all of Nora’s tips. But Nora wasn’t the only pro we heard from while there...
Nora also told us how she continues to build her base of great reviews by using the tools Thumbtack provides to request new reviews from customers, but also how and when she follows up in case they’ve forgotten.

One of our favorite parts of the Pro Community is when pros are sharing their experiences and success tips with each other. Thumbtack only succeeds when you succeed, and we’re always on the lookout for stories and examples to highlight from you that could be useful knowledge for other pros.
We recently hosted an event for home industry pros in Philadelphia, and while there we met up with @LZDNVG. We asked her a few questions about her business and her tips for success on Thumbtack, and we’re excited to share some of her knowledge with the community today in the first of a series of Top Pro Tips vignettes.
Follow up with unresponsive customers - Laura told us her strategy and the ROI she gets when following up with customers who go silent after the first message. And we know this is something that’s working for a lot of you, @CLGPatrick posted something similar in this post .
Standing out in search results - Now that customers are finding pros through search results, Laura mentions how she promotes her business to help her ranking, and how she keeps customers intrigued once they’ve found her.

@MR @DJStevie I also really like the idea of product futures/sneak peaks. There are all sorts of things tricky about these (like how far in the future is still relevant?) but it's something I'm interested in exploring to see if we can put something like this together. I know Jason has started posting recaps of what's changed in the past month, and I know a look ahead would help too. I'll shop it around and follow up if it's something we're able to make happen.

Hey @DJStevie and @MR thanks for your questions about what we're offering. You mention some of these topics potentially being a re-hash of things you're already doing well, and I agree that for some of you that may be true. But we have to keep in mind that not everyone has achieved the same level of proficiency. We want to make sure we're always providing channels to reinforce and discuss these sort of evergreen, always important topics that became the basis for this new program.
However, in addition to these topics that will likely stick around, we're leaving room in the schedule to develop content that could change on a monthly basis as well. These are just ideas for now, but this could be something like a webinar that gives a sneak peak into upcoming product features, maybe webinars that are specific to industry, etc.
So, I guess I'd ask you both (and anyone else who may be reading) - What other topics would you like us to cover? What would help you find success in the system that wouldn't feel like a "re-hash"? I'd love to hear your ideas in this thread or DM, whatever works best.
