Response Time / Front Desk

Is there already an auto-responder tool/app/solution on Thumbtack to help us maintain a fast response time?

I have a good conversion rate even if I don't respond within 1 hour, and I usually respond quickly by combining multiple contact methods: TT Chat, text, and phone calls.

But this is very stressful, to the point of stopping the car to respond, taking my phone to the bathroom, stopping work to respond, not being able to focus in a meeting...

And I'm worried about the response time to maintain my Top Pro Platinum status, AND also about my stress. 😅

So I'm trying to find ways to automate the first response/contact.

Does anyone know how to tell me?

I've already checked if there's an option on Thumbtack called Front Desk, but I've read that it can take up to 2 minutes. And I want something faster/instant.

I'd also like to hear from people who already use Front Desk, I did some research and saw some negative reviews.

Can anyone who uses it tell me more?

    Hi @Rapha I am not sure when you posted this (it was flagged as spam by the automated system, sometimes it randomly flags real posts!). We do have Front Desk which solves this — have you looked in to that? Lots of pros speak really highly of this feature.

    PS as a former TT pro I feel this! I remember being at the beach on vacation and rushing to my phone to respond! I wish Front Desk would have existed back then haha!

    I haven't spoken to many who use Front Desk. The best thing to do is what you are doing. I message to appease the TT gods, even though I rarely ever get a response or even see that they have read the message.

    After that I usually just call, leads have been so flaky lately I just take the initiative to call right away. It has worked pretty well so far (when they actually answer the phone).

    Hey @Rapha , I totally get the stress — I was in the same boat. Pulling over to respond, bathroom phone sessions, the whole thing 😅

    I tried Front Desk too and honestly wasn't impressed — the 2-minute delay is real, and by then another pro already responded. Plus it only sends a generic message through TT chat, no text or call.

    What actually worked for me was setting up an AI auto-responder that texts the customer AND calls them within seconds of the lead coming in. Not through Thumbtack chat — actual SMS to their phone + a real phone call. That way even if 5 other pros get the same lead, I'm the first voice they hear.

    My response rate went from "whenever I could grab my phone" to under 30 seconds, 24/7. Booking rate jumped noticeably. And the best part — I can actually be on vacation or in a meeting without stressing.

    Happy to share what I'm using if you're interested. It's a newer tool but it's been solid for me.
