Fun drama thread

Gentleman reached out to us through Thumbtack, we sent a proposal, did the work (structural assessment), and he paid. He then tried to use our report to get a license with the state. State denied him, because even the report said that what certain features of the property that are required, were in fact not present in the building. The guy started getting hot, I went back out, met with his people. Explained to them what the state was looking for. Agreed to produce a second report describing the work scope (I did it for free, no less). One of his stakeholders pulled the plug on the project due to cost, all but ensuring that he'd never get his license. Get a text from him with a hot, boiling stream of profanities, demanding that I basically lie and tell the state the issues have been corrected. I refused to lie, but resent the original report with additional language describing what complied and what didn't.

I fully expect a bad review from this fellow. Stay tuned.

@structuralguy65 I would recommend reporting this customer as well as emailing a screenshot of the text message to support. I am sorry that this happened.

  • @DustiO Got the one star review from this guy, finally. I'm glad I at least documented his behavior. Wish we could give reviews to clients, and it not be a one-way street.

  • @DustiO making sure you see the update…

I would highly recommend reporting the customer and/or sending an email to support@ with any screenshots of him threatening speech. And, I would recommend responding to the review to tell your side of the story for future customers!
