    we need to stop calling a lead that goes to 3-4 pros a “DIRECT LEAD” these are NOT Direct leads and they are of much LOWER value , so why are we being charged as if we’re the only pro being contacted ? I don’t think it’s fair business to charge us like this . This is super frustrating to see a so called “direct lead” and open it up to see 3-4 other pros being charged , I wish this would be changed to a more discounted price

    I want to respectfully echo this concern because it's a very real issue for many of us pros. When a lead goes out to 3–5 different professionals, it doesn’t feel accurate to label it as a “Direct Lead.” At that point, it becomes a shared lead, and the value is much different than what “direct” implies.

    We’re paying premium pricing for these leads, yet our chances of being hired are no different than competing in the Opportunities tab. In many cases, customers are simply price shopping, collecting quotes, or not responding at all—which means pros are absorbing all the financial risk without any protection or transparency.

    Most of us here want to continue growing on this platform—we’re just asking for a system that feels fair on both sides. If these issues are addressed, Thumbtack would earn even greater trust from skilled, serious pros who invest real time, tools, and effort into serving customers well.

    I registered for the summit, but have not received any link to a form to submit questions. I intend to warn everyone that if Thumbtack persists in keeping lead payments for leads sent to me that do not match the preferences I set a long time ago, that I am filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Bank on it.

    @structuralguy65 there will be a spot to submit questions during as well. There is a lot of work going in to helping customers get matched with the right kind of pro, I'll be curious to hear your thoughts after the event. Hope to "see" you there!

    Hey @DustiO, I never received a link to the pro summit, or I just missed it all together. Is there a recording of the event? I am curious to hear what they are planning down the pipeline for us Pros. Thank you!
