Expansion
I just locked in my first lead. But I want to know from a pro who’s seen success on here to share some keys pointers, if you can, on how to get the most out of this app..

Thumbtack is a very powerful tool to generate leads, but it is still a tool and you have to do your part. From the way your profile looks, to how fast you reply and all the other steps to turn a lead into a customer you have to show them why they must hire you. My first lead I under priced and broke even because in my mind that was my first 5 star review and I got it. Many years later that investment paid off many many times over. The more you use the app the more you will get better at it and you must spend time at least weekly doing the changes that will make the return on you money higher. For instance, this year I'm spending more time looking at the leads I'm getting and the zip codes where they are coming from and I'm making monthly adjustments to the areas I service and I can see that the amount of leads that do not fit the customer that is looking for my type of service went down. Good luck!

Thank you Dusti !
Apollo Solar and Battery is a sales and installation team of 26 people in the Chicago area now mainly for BATTERY Power Back up systems, NOT GENERAC, Just batteries that plug into your electrical panel in 30 minutes and can save money on monthly bills up to 30% in the first 3 years after purchase . Then over 60% , ROI , paid for in 36 months. And now saving 60% on transmission costs and peak demand fees. Illinois pays $.15 cents per Kilowatt Hour, Californians pay over $.52 cents per Kilowatt hour. Call me I need help on Thumbtack where to advertise in what category.

Hi Nequane, great job on locking in that first lead!! Next step is to make sure they have a great experience, and when the service is nearing the end, do a pulse check to see if your client is super happy. If they are, ask for a review right away.
Don't make it transactional (like "If you post a review, I’ll give you $10 off your next order"). Instead, use something similar to the review template Thumbtack auto-generates for you, and add a touch of personality, something like "Safe travels next week" or whatever you two connected about previously. Let them know it’s been great working with them.
