Fake leads

Has anyone experienced fake leads or leads which were not properly vetted here at Thumbtack? I'm new to Thumbtack and I do bathrooms and kitchens in Milwaukee and set a lot of tile. I left two large California based leads companies Homeguide and Angi, for the above reasons. Didin't have the time or resources to argue for the refunds. Thier software was easily manipulated by people and we were sent too many mis handled leads.

    Hi @Gman It looks like you posted this in a couple of spots and we answered it in the other post! But, see answer below:

    I took a look at your account to see if I could offer some advice and it doesn't look like you have actually received any direct leads yet. I would recommend making sure you have set all of your preferences, set lead pricing and budget, and make sure you generally just have everything dialed in so you get the right kinds of leads for the types of jobs you want to do.

    Thumbtack does verify customer phone numbers (you can read more here), but once you start getting leads if any come through that you feel are suspicious, you can report those leads so our team can look into them. You can also read about how to request a refund here.

    There is also a guide for new pros that you will see when you log in — you should definitely take the time to read through that to be sure you are set up for success!
