As a top pro who has been on this platform since 2019, and yes, I pay $350 a week for marketing on Thumbtack so my voice should be one of knowledge I can say everything that is being said about this new phone number situation and the issues that are going on with Thumbtack is spot on. I think it’s very interesting to see that the moderator of this thread doesn’t really offer any kind of solutions they just say click here to do your own due diligence, etc. etc. I actually had a customer today leave me a one star review and called me a loser, then sarcastically said God bless. Crazy thing is I paid money for this person to tell me that I charge too much. You think Thumbtack is actually gonna take any initiative to try and remove this one star review, absolutely not.. They don’t care about you they just want to take your money. There is no ceiling to what Thumbtack is willing to do to extract more and more money from the pros while going out of their way to avoid telling the customer that we have to pay for these leads.

I posted a negative review of the situations I was facing last year and the post was removed by the moderator. There is no fairness when it comes to the struggles that we the pros are facing at the hands of our master. I have over 600 reviews and have been a top pro since 2019 and yet there has been not 1 instance of Thumbtack taking my side or offering any type of assistance that they seem so willing to offer in jest.
