### Automatic Refund Eligibility

Pros who are not hired will be automatically eligible for a refund if either of the following conditions are met:

1. **Customer Booking Confirmation:**

  - If a customer confirms they have booked with another pro from Thumbtack, the pros who were not selected will receive an automatic refund.

  - This confirmation can be communicated through the customer's response indicating they have hired another pro via Thumbtack.

2. **Immediate Denial of Service:**

  - If a customer’s first response to a pro is an explicit denial of service, such as “I already booked another pro,” the pro will automatically receive a refund.

  - This applies to initial customer responses that clearly indicate they have chosen not to hire the pro.

### How It Works

- **Customer Communication:** Upon receiving a response from the customer that fits either of the eligibility criteria, the pro should ensure the communication is recorded within the Thumbtack platform.

- **Automatic Process:** Thumbtack’s system will automatically detect eligible responses and process refunds without any additional action required by the pros.

- **Timely Refunds:** Refunds will be processed promptly, ensuring pros receive their funds back quickly and efficiently.

### Exceptions

- Pros will not be eligible for a refund if the customer’s response does not clearly meet the criteria outlined above.

- Pros are encouraged to maintain clear and professional communication to help facilitate the refund process when applicable.
