This website send multiple leads although the client only pick one and they don't refund !!

Hey there

so I was suspecting this website to send multiple leads to us while the client dont request them, well I have proof now they do.

I received a lead and the person said they had only picked one artist and didnt know why Thumbtack would send to 3.

I asked refund but they denied

I will try to call

This is unacceptable.

So how do you guys explain that ? THUMBTACK TEAM??

    To be clear, Thumbtack does not "send" direct leads to any pros. Customers enter their job parameters and see a list of pros — after which customers select the pros themselves. Was this a direct lead, or an opportunity? I am happy to look into this particular lead and see what happened if you want to send me their first name, @tiphdou.

    @dustio Yes Sure, they actually said they only picked one artist. Name is Wade. It was direct lead that was charged to me. When I respond to them about my availability etc they said they didnt understand why I would get request because they had only picked one person. They even offer to help if I dont get refund.

    Also 2 months ago I was charged 49 dollars for a lead in Philly, I asked refund and they denied it which is super unfair. I can send you that as well.

    Honestly I have been working with Thumbtack for a while, I wish you would be more fair about how you charge but mostly refunding when it's obviously your fault.

    @tiphdou I won't be able to help with any refunds, but I can look into this customer and see what happened. It could have been that other pros reached out via their "opportunities" or something like that, too. And I will be sure to send this feedback to the team.

    Of course you guys can never help about refunds, and also are NOT REACHABLE in any ways when it's about refunds. We receive automatic response.

    My lead cost me 50 dollars for someone sending me direct LEAD from PHILLY and I am in LA

    I think it's unacceptable.

    You guys earn so much money with me, and I feel you should take care of your artist better.

    Other platforms would have given me a call right away

    @tiphdou It will take me some time to look into this, so no, I have not been able to find anything out yet. When you request a refund you can always send an email to support to appeal the decision, but I personally am not able to help with refunds (that is what I meant when I said that). The refund you referenced is also 2 months ago (I think refund requests need to be made within 30 days). So sorry that I am not able to help more with this particular thing, but I am always happy to help answer questions where I can. You can see all of the support info here.

    I made the refund request right away, and yes you can add a text when you request it, but when they deny it, there is no communication opened
