Does Marco know?

It’s interesting how Marco Zappacosta presents himself in this Forbes video as a champion of business ethics and morality, emphasizing sustainable growth and customer trust. However, based on both public reviews and my personal experience, his words don’t seem to align with reality.

Thumbtack, under his leadership, appears more focused on maximizing profit at the expense of service providers rather than fostering genuine ethical business practices. Many professionals, myself included, have encountered issues like poor customer support, inconsistent policies, and a system that often favors customers at the expense of hardworking contractors.

While Zappacosta talks a big game about doing right by small businesses, the real-world experiences of those who rely on the platform tell a different story. Ethics in business aren’t just about what you say in interviews—they’re about the day-to-day actions that affect the people who make your platform successful.
