Thumbtack restricted our account due to a mistaken Thumbtack- Account Deactivated (ASA Pools & Spas)

I have been working with Thumbtack for a couple of months. I run several businesses, and everything was going well. Then one of my employees (a worker at ASA Pools & Spas) made a mistake and entered a phone number that belongs to another company we had worked with in the past. Because of that, Thumbtack automatically connected and associated our account with that business and immediately deactivated our account.

We have tried to explain that there is no real link between the two accounts. We do not share an LLC, ownership, or any business partnership. It was simply an honest mistake made in our office. However, Thumbtack keeps telling us to resolve the issue with the other business — and unfortunately, that company is not cooperative or helpful at all.

We’re honestly not sure how to fix this situation. Thumbtack is a very important marketing platform for us.

We have tried calling support, sending documents, and doing everything they asked. At one point, we even had a customer support agent raise their voice and tell us that Thumbtack has no desire to help or work with us, which was very frustrating.

Has anyone here dealt with something similar?
Any advice on how to get an account unlinked or reviewed properly?
