I would REALLY like some sort of distance based add-on fee

For my work I have to travel to the client. I don't live in the middle of a dense city so I wind up having to drive a lot. For me, there's a significant difference between a 10 mile and 100 mile trip in terms of what I would need to charge to make it worth while.
I've mentioned this a few times and I always get the same response - i should put a note somewhere in my description that there will be added expenses for anything beyond a certain distance.
This doesn't really work since I'm guessing most people just look at the $ amount that shows up when they search for pros. As a result of this, I wind up paying for a lot of leads that I can't use, or I wind up taking a job that's barely break even for me. Or I have to shrink down my service area, in which case I'll be missing out on a fair number of jobs. And honestly, it feels a little unfair/dishonest to a potential client for them to be told it'll cost xxx dollars and then I have to tell them oh it'll be xxx dollars plus 50 for travel. A lot of clients will get annoyed with that and decide to go with someone else, even if they might have been ok with the extra charge had it been listed upfront at the start.
I don't understand why TT can't/hasn't implemented some sort of distance fee calculator. You already have a pretty extensive mapping system where I can pick out individual counties. It shouldn't be that hard to calculate a distance and then allow us to set a minimum price based on distance groups (25 miles, 50, 100 etc etc)
There are obviously plenty of pro's on here that have to travel to a client so it's not like it's just me.
