Why Thumbtack won’t refund bad leads
Why is it so hard to get money refunded for bad leads I’m getting a lot of them and am really close to taking down my account. I have gotten 3 expensive leads from people wanting a therapist I have nothing on my account that says I’m a therapist. Another person put up on her request that she could spend 300 dollars but only wanted to pay fifty, and yet another was a third party request, and another had her plans change the day she wanted supposed to get a reading. Most of the bad leads I get have legitimate reasons for being refunded but they never are.

@Sara_James thanks for posting! I took a look at your account, and you do have therapy services listed.
In order to change that (so you stop getting those leads) go to your services page, click on each of the services you do not actually want to offer - after you click on a service you'll scroll down and see "remove this service".
I would also suggest that you make sure you have your travel preferences and all other job preferences set to the types of jobs you want to do.
Hope this helps!
