Why was an entire thread deleted from one bad comment?

There was a thread about rating leads that appears to have been entirely deleted. From the last notification i received about that thread it looks like the last post might have pushed some boundaries in terms of acceptable content. I can't really be sure since I can't see that reply.

But why was the entire topic removed instead of just that one single reply? It wasn't a new topic either, it was originally started a year or so ago.

@Merk I haven't removed any threads - do you remember the subject line of the original post? There have been a couple of members removed from the Community for repeated abusive comments toward team members, and when they are removed their content is also removed - so it could be that? Or the OP left the Community and chose to delete their content when they did?
