😤😤 Getting tired of seeing repeat requests - is this not monitored?!?

Frequently I am seeing what I have pictured in the attachment - customers sending several requests for the same repair.

Sometimes they use different names (and accounts I presume?), so I can kinda understand TTack's inability to keep people from repeating requests... but when the same named customer reposts over and over, and uses different zip codes(!)? This crap needs to be regulated.

Additionally, it greatly IRKS ME when such repeated requests are from A CUSTOMER WITH WHICH I AM CURRENTLY CONTRACTED:

  • I can mark the job that I have with them as "in progress" and that will (presumably) end other pros spending their money on the same job w a "opportunity" bid - only to have (some) unknowing customers re$pond unwittingly w a "no thank you!"
  • But frequently, with these double requests(!), I am happily working on a job and the duplicate request FOR THE SAME job is still available for a quote.


Boy, does THAT need to stop. All of this needs to be regulated by TTack.

    Please submit these here, as posting this in the Community won't help you to get refunds for repeat requests. Send feedback for Thumbtack to support@thumbtack.com or here so that it can be properly logged and be sure to submit those repeat requests for a refund.
