online support is too nice

Maybe I'm just an old grumpy curmudgeon, but the online chat is too nice. It's great and I appreciate when it's polite (hello, thank you, please etc). But it's at the point where it's obsequious. I had a very brief convo and the agent acted like I made their day by talking to them. It's great to be polite and courteous - i try to be polite and courteous whenever i talk to a support rep. But going overboard is just silly. I don't need someone groveling acting like their sole purpose in life is to answer my question.

Seems like a LOT of online support acts this way, not just with TT. I really can't imagine anyone really likes it or believes it.

So just my 2 cent suggestion - tone it down a little. A few simple 'thank you' and 'please' in the conversation is usually enough.
