Hi @Adham and welcome to the Pro Community! Sorry about the confusion, I know there is a lot to learn when you are starting out on Thumbtack. Here is a great overview on how Thumbtack work. And, I have a few recommendations:
- One important thing to remember is that you will be charged automatically as soon as a customer reaches out to you. So, be sure that you have your targeting preferences set correctly to the types of jobs you want to do. Read more about targeting preferences here and about when you are charged here.
- You currently have your max lead prices set at the highest level, I would recommend lowering those while you figure out how Thumbtack works. (Max Lead Prices are the max amount you are willing to pay per lead - you can read more about that here).
- I would also recommend working on the initial message that you send to customers. Try making it more personal, addressing the customer's job request and telling them more about why you are the right fit for their job. For example, "Hi [customer's name] thank you for reaching out about your door replacement job. I would be happy to help you with this project. I have replaced a lot of doors and have [X number] years experience as a handyman." And you could attach some photos of similar jobs you have done. (You can read more about messaging customers here).
- Another important thing to remember is to respond as quickly as possible - best practice is to respond to customers within the first hour (even faster if possible).
You're welcome to join our bi-weekly CommuniTEA sessions - they are just networking sessions over Zoom where you can meet other Thumbtack pros and get advice. This is great especially when you are just starting out on Thumbtack. You can find those here!
