@Louishall44 I took a few minutes to look at your profile and it looks like you currently have most of your Max Lead Prices set at the highest level — have you tried lowering those to lead prices that make more sense for you and your business? I would recommend playing around with that to see what prices work. I would also recommend changing up the initial message that you are sending to customers when they reach out - introduce yourself, let them know what your experience is/how you can do their job well, personalize those messages — really try and make yourself stand out! You can read tips for responding to customers here. And one last thing — your profile is looking really great, lots of nice photos — I would also recommend getting more reviews (you can get reviews from past customers that were not from Thumbtack to give you a good start) as the average pro in your area/category has 12 reviews, so that would also help you stand out! I hope these things help!

@Louishall44 you will be charged at the point that the customer reaches out to you, so be sure that your targeting preferences are set to exactly the types of jobs you want to do, to ensure the most accurate matches. You can read more about targeting preferences here. And, you can read more about when you are charged here. Hope this helps!

Make sure that your profile lists the services that you offer in detail and put the services close to the top of your profile. Reduce your max lead price as Dusti notes above. I've lowered mine to the minimum because the majority of Gardening leads in my area are for lawns and major weeding/ weed wacking which we do not do.

Thumbtack is not our main source of leads (but could be); we also use Next Door, Craig/s List and referrals.

Thumbtack could generate more business for themselves and pros if they could make gardening services a little more reflective of the industry. Thumbtack seems to be lawn centric in the services offerings. Trimming is a service found in a search, but trimming is not pruning. Pruning is not a listed Thumbtack service but a search leads to "

" Shrub trimming and removal Lawn mowing and trimming Trim or molding installation" Confusing to a lead; what if they want non-shrub deadheading and pruning?

Thumbtack should look at gardening from a broader view and add these services: pruning !
