turn off exact match leads? (architecture)

Can someone tell me how to turn off direct leads? i.e. the ones Thumbtack autosends pros? I'd much rather prefer replying to opportunities & having clients contact me directly, not being auto matched. I can't figure out how to do this without hiding my profile or turning off targeting (which hides my profile from search results).

The auto matched leads often do not have any info about the project other than zip code, sqft, & commercial or residential. For architecture, that is basically no information & the ones I have gotten are ghost posters & do not respond to messages, phone calls or texts. A complete waste of money just to make my profile public. How do I prioritize getting real leads not the ones who are just filling out a few questions that do not require a project description & clicking "match me with professionals nearby"?

Exact Match Leads is what they're called I believe. How do I turn these off without hiding my profile?

The direct leads that you receive are customers reaching out directly to you - Thumbtack does not auto send any leads other than sending the lead when the customer chooses you. When you get a lead in your inbox, it is because a customer has chosen to reach out to you. If you want to turn that off you can turn off targeting, but you will not appear in search results and will only have access to opportunities. You can read about turning off targeting here. You could always give that a try and see how it works for you!
