A few weeks ago, we talked about simple habits that help pros move up Pro Rewards tiers faster. This week, we want to zoom out a bit and talk about something just as important but often overlooked: QUALIFYING PERIODS.

With Pro Rewards, timing is everything. If you have ever wondered why your status changes when it does, or how long your Silver, Gold, or Platinum perks actually last, it all comes down to how qualifying periods work. Once you understand the timing, it becomes much easier to plan ahead and get more value from the rewards you earn.

How qualifying periods work.

The year is split into four Pro Rewards qualifying periods:

  • December to February
  • March to May
  • June to August
  • September to November

Each qualifying period lasts three months. When you qualify for Silver, Gold, or Platinum during a period, you unlock that status for the rest of that period and the entire next one.

For example, if you qualify for Platinum near the end of July, you will enjoy Platinum rewards through November. That means one strong stretch of activity can unlock months of benefits.

To keep your tier, you’ll need to continue meeting the points and quality requirements tied to that status. If those requirements are not met, your tier may be adjusted after the next period. You’ll always be notified when you qualify or if your status changes.

Tips to progress within a qualifying period.

Instead of trying to do everything at once, it helps to focus on the requirements of the tier you are aiming for.

If you’re working toward Silver:

  • Complete your profile early, including background checks and photos
  • Close out completed jobs promptly
  • Request reviews consistently after jobs are done

If you are aiming for Gold:

  • Reply quickly and consistently during business hours
  • Keep your response rate steady since it is measured over time
  • Maintain strong customer experiences to support higher rating thresholds

If you are pushing for Platinum:

  • Treat fast responses as non-negotiable
  • Stay proactive with follow-ups and communication
  • Focus on long-term consistency since reviews and response rates are measured across rolling periods

Small, repeatable actions add up and matter more than short bursts of effort.

Why timing can be a big advantage.

Because rewards extend into the next qualifying period, qualifying earlier gives you more runway to enjoy the benefits. It also gives you breathing room to maintain your status instead of racing to catch up at the end of a period.

Many pros find that once they understand the rhythm of qualifying periods, Pro Rewards feel less stressful and more predictable.

Let’s hear from you.

If you could give one Pro Rewards tip to another pro, what would it be?
