Hello! I'm hoping there is still someone active here. I'm in the sewing industry as a freelancer currently, with most of my work coming from Thumbtack leads. I'm wanting to open up a small store sometime in the future that would offer space for classes that I already teach (currently teaching in my home or client's home), selling fiber arts supplies, and hosting community events (think sit-n-stitch days, guest teachers, etc.).

I would very much like to connect with any pros in this realm, or anyone who has started their own brick and mortar business from scratch. Thanks in advance. :)

part of this community and glad to be here email: georgecontractcom@georgecontractcom.org

using the sewing retail business example-find a unique fabrics or materials- then pick patterns and the necessary to put a group of threads and sewing items -displayed teaching how to sew-yes-teaching is the #1 way to maintain any business in that owners bring people into their store show them how to put fabrics and brands of materials together for purchase and from customer feedback -go forward in the business venture.

Finally, with this, that wherewithal is secondary to exact locations business sizes and at the inception that 'look'-but of course not at all the money or how do you plan to pay for it?
