Preset Jobs

I wish Thumbatck would concentrate on generating leads only like when they first started.

Becoming a company that want to do everything for us Pros.

I use to get hundreds of leads and now just a trickle. And I offer 6 services so it’s not like it’s slow all the time in all 6.

How can Thumbtack decided what I am going to quote for a job ??? They quote and take a percentage !! Book it , collect money, want to go out and do the work too???

Should stick to lead generating not running PROS booking , quotes, and collecting money.

Like the old saying ‘ if it’s not broke don’t fix it ‘ and ‘ you can’t re invent the wheel’.

I use to spend thousands a month on leads last month I think $500.00.

Your ideas might look good in a board room but in a day to day service business like mine doesn’t work.

I have been in the cleaning business for 30 years and still to this day word of mouth and me knocking on doors generates much more income.

Not sure about this preset job stuff think I’ll opt out on this one.

Show me leads I will handle the rest that is best for my business.

Hi @TCB247 , thanks for taking the time to share your perspective. I know some of this overlaps with your comment on the other thread, but I wanted to address your feedback about Preset Jobs specifically.

If you're referring to Claimable Jobs, there's no need to opt in or out. They simply appear in your For You tab, and you can choose whether or not to claim them. Ignoring them won't cost you anything, and they don't change how you manage your regular leads or how you quote and price your work.

I also noticed you mentioned your lead spend dropping from thousands of dollars a month to around $500. That's a significant change. If you haven't already, I'd encourage you to send this feedback through your Thumbtack account or reach out to support@thumbtack.com so the team can review your account and better understand what may be contributing to that change across your services.

I appreciate you sharing your broader thoughts as well. Hearing feedback from pros with decades of experience helps provide valuable context about how these changes are being experienced in the field. Thanks again for taking the time to share it with the Community.
