Meet Tailstruck Pet Services — Carmel, IN 🐾

Hey everyone! 👋 I'm Linds, owner of Tailstruck Pet Services, LLC — a solo pet care business serving Carmel, Zionsville, Westfield, and the surrounding Indy suburbs. I do dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight/house sitting, all in the client's home.

I started Tailstruck because I genuinely love animals and wanted to build something where pets get real, personalized care instead of a rushed cookie-cutter visit. It's grown from a couple of loyal first clients into a full solo operation, and Thumbtack has honestly been the backbone of that growth — over 90% of my leads come from here!

Question for the community: for those of you who also rely heavily on Thumbtack, how are you diversifying your lead sources without losing momentum on the platform? Always looking to learn from other solo pros.

Hi @TailstruckLinds , welcome to the Community! 🐾 I love hearing that Tailstruck grew from just a couple of loyal clients into a full solo operation, and that Thumbtack has played such a big role in that growth!

Diversifying while keeping what's already working is a great question. One place I'd start is with the customers you've already won. Consistently asking for reviews and referrals, encouraging repeat bookings, and staying connected with past clients can help one Thumbtack connection turn into several future opportunities without requiring another lead.

For a pet care business, I can also see local partnerships with groomers, trainers, vets, or other pet-focused businesses being a natural way to build your network.

I'd love to hear from other solo pros who use Thumbtack as a primary lead source. What have you added alongside it that's worked well without taking your focus away from what's already generating business?
