Hey everyone!! Erik here with BMXMOVES heavy furniture lifting here in North Carolina. I started shortly after high school and have built the business from the ground up, learning as I go while handling the jobs, customers, and day-to-day operations myself.

Thumbtack has become my main source of leads, and I’m excited to keep growing and learning from other pros in the community.

Question: For those experienced with AI, how are you using it to improve lead auto-replies, respond faster, and turn more Thumbtack leads into booked jobs? I’d love to learn what’s actually working for you!

Welcome, Erik, building it from the ground up right after high school and handling everything solo says a lot about your drive, that hands on experience usually shows in how you run jobs too.

On AI for auto-replies, Thumbtack's own Quick Replies feature is the built-in option worth starting with, a solid first-response template that references the job type can buy you time on response speed without sounding robotic. Front Desk is another native option if you want more of the message handling done for you. Beyond those, results with outside AI tools tend to be mixed since generic replies can miss the specific details of a job, which sometimes hurts more than it helps if a customer can tell it wasn't a real read of their request.

Curious to hear from others in the thread on what's actually worked for them, especially anyone using Quick Replies or Front Desk versus a separate tool.
