Kitchen Grease Travels Farther Than You Think

When we think about kitchen grease, the stovetop is usually the first place that comes to mind. But cooking residue doesn’t always stay where the cooking happens.

Over time, tiny grease particles and splatter can settle on cabinet doors, handles, backsplashes, range hoods, nearby walls, appliance exteriors, and even upper cabinet surfaces. Mix that residue with everyday dust, and you can end up with a sticky film that routine wiping may not completely remove.

A few areas worth checking regularly include:

  • Cabinet fronts and handles
  • Range hood and surrounding surfaces
  • Backsplash and grout
  • Microwave exterior
  • Nearby walls
  • Stovetop and appliance sides

This is also one reason a kitchen can look generally clean but still feel like it needs a deeper reset.

At My Clean Charlotte Maids, we’ve found that staying ahead of buildup makes kitchen maintenance much easier than waiting until grease becomes stubborn.
