How do you obtain valid jobs without proper photos or specifications other then general information?
I’m having a hard time getting thumbtack getting potential clients to submit pics or specifications other then general info of what they need done. I’m wasting so much money in jobs that are not specific enough. What do you do?

Hi @Sweetfinds , welcome to the Community! 👋 I can understand the challenge, especially when photos or specific details are important for determining the scope and pricing of a job.
One thing I'd recommend is asking for those details right in your first response rather than waiting for the customer to provide them. Something as simple as, “Could you send me a quick photo of the area? That will help me better understand the project and give you a more accurate estimate,” can help move the conversation forward and give you the information you need.
That said, if you're consistently seeing requests in a particular service category come through without enough information, that's also helpful feedback about the customer request experience for that category. I'll include that context as we're surfacing Community feedback around the project information Pros receive.
I'd also be interested to hear what other Pros ask customers upfront when a request doesn't include enough detail to properly evaluate the job.
