Musicians and Bands idea

Unlike contractors who have established businesses that actually are paid fairly for what they do, musicians are struggling to get a fair pay. We work for over & hours every engagement, we invest thousands of hours into practice, learning, studios and we pay top dollar for instruments, equipment and other tools of the trade. Yet after all that hard work we go home with less than $100 each in our pockets if we are lucky to get work. but this is the reality of what we do and we do it for the love of performing and entertaining. We support the businesses and events for which we play and we would do it for free most days.

But I believe the Thumbtack model is broken for musicians. And feel that there needs to be a model which supports musicians on a get hired and pay the fee model which allows local musicians to get work and when they do then Thumbtack gets a share. We simply cannot afford to pay for “maybes” each time.
I would like Thumbtack to find a way to support musicians as we struggle to survive the private and commercial side is better than bars but we can it afford to pay for each lead and loose more
