🍂 Charlotte Home Watch: Where Does Fall Buildup Show Up First?

Fall can make a home feel cozy, but it also changes what gets tracked indoors.

Pollen, dust, leaves, and outdoor debris can enter through shoes, pets, clothing, and everyday foot traffic. Once inside, that buildup often settles in places we don’t immediately notice—especially entryways, windows, ceiling fans, floors, and upholstery.

A few simple habits can help:

🍁 Use entry mats and leave shoes near the door
🐾 Wipe pets’ paws after time outside
🪟 Keep window sills and nearby surfaces dusted
🌀 Check ceiling fans for buildup
🛋️ Vacuum upholstery and other soft surfaces regularly

The goal isn’t to constantly clean—it’s to focus on the places where seasonal buildup tends to start.

Charlotte homeowners: where do you notice fall dust and debris building up first in your home—your entryway, floors, windows, or somewhere else?
