Where are the handymen?

This is probably the most asked about position that my customers are seeking. Maybe it's a dying trade and everyone is a specialist now? Thoughts?

I agree with js garage door that a jack of all trades is a dying breed . I myself am a general contractor that doesn’t sit in a office or in his truck everyday I’m the person and only person that works in any of my jobs . I after the last few years in business have mastered all of my crafts as a jack of all trades , not being full of myself. Number one I’m a carpenter any saw i touch from a cheap craftsman’s table saw to my fox shop cabinet saw I can get the same results making a vanity or ripping a 2x6 in half . It’s not the tool it’s the operator. A jack of all trades might not master in one but he’s far better then a master of only one. A lot of my bids are low compared to all the other ones people get and it hurts my company cause they think there not going to get the best well im 30’percent less cause im not hiring the entire job out and adding 30 percent on to there tail coats . For being a office manager no disrespect to those guys . But i would never trust a man or woman to build or work on my home that never built a home them selves . My other issue is with the companies like thumb guide and not you guy’s specifically. More angi I’ve been on jobs and the home owner mentions what there paying or I ask !! I’d would get a 200 dollar electric small install should honestly pay 400 to 500 well to find out angi is charging 900 and paying me 200

and it’s my license my name my truck tools diesel and hear that there pocketing 500 to 700 bucks in 90 percent of all of there business. Is honestly down right theft …

what did your do besides tell me if I don’t pay your business every month for leads on work I won’t get any work and it’s true . How do you deserve to keep hard working people out customers money because you gave me. And 4 other guys the same information and them get to double your pay for you sending a email to us all and it’s not enough info to see if there serious if or just bored.. I mean because while I work you have the luxury of sitting in a chair and talk to people about something you have no freaking clue on !! And it’s ok ???!,! You guys are worse then any builder ever was you take money and don’t do shit !!! Lol

  • There are still good ones out there when you're looking definitely check the reviews pictures and body of work and references honesty and straightforward pricing with prolific history of verified guaranteed completed jobs with verified customer reviews is something we offer along with free consulting of any job which we will waive the initial consult fee if hired please feel free to reach out anytime

Im in Little Rock and I am a contractor/Handyman/Jackofalltrades/you name it and my business has done very well! The number one reason for my success is that I know what I'm doing, I'm very good at what I do, and I am always ALWAYS upfront with my customers! The second reason for my success is the absolute laziness of other people in my field. Most cut corners, show up late or not at all and try to get by w the very least amount of effort.....it's sad really...how so many people just don't care about the quality of there work anymore. Ik this because I am CONSTANTLY fixing or finishing someones half-ass work. Then again it's Job Security i guess eh 😀
