Fill out every question on your profile. Include pictures and update projects. Also, check your app frequently and reply asap to won the job. There's a lot of competition out there. So don't get frustrated.

This sounds awesome! I've been doing notary work since January this year and Thumbtack has been the biggest resource I've come across. Any advice or suggestions in addition to what you've responded to DustiO that you would recommend?

People finding pros for their wedding tend to be a little more concerned about the details than someone who might be hiring an exterminator for an ant infestation. As a wedding DJ I give VERY detailed bids (my regualr wedding bid has over 1100 words and I always attach a 10 page worksheet that my brides and groom fill out) and even advice. My most common feedback from clients who have hired me is they were drawn to me because of how detailed my bid was. It gives them a little more assurance that you are not going to screw up their big day. Some people disagree with this method but it works amazingly well for me.

For a wedding officiant, be sure to be familiar with your state laws and the subsequent licenses as each state and even each county in the state can be/is different and you want to minimize any potential mistakes ---ideally have none at all. Work on your handwriting! You want the licenses to look clean and professional.

I cannot stress the importance in making sure that you get as many reviews as possible! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It doesn't matter what industry you're in–just make it easy for people to write a review by asking after doing an amazing job of course! 😎
