No leads?

@DustiO I think my thumbtack profile as a pro is not working. I have not got any leads in a while and where i live there is alot of demand for cleaners right now. Can you look into it for me? Please

@KuyGasena04 I couldn't find anything that looked weird, but I sent this to a team member who may be able to dig a little deeper and I will let you know what I find out!

  • @DustiO thank you please let me know what you find out.

Ok, so it looks like everything is working properly. Some factors might be:

    • Demand — Currently there is not a lot of demand other than for house cleaning in your areas
      • This could be seasonal or due to current economic conditions
    • Prices — It looks like your prices are higher than the average pro in your area
    • Reviews — While you have really great reviews, it looks like the average pro has 20+ reviews

So it looks like the recommendations are to try adding more reviews, lowering prices or offering deals, adding more categories/job types, adding more zip codes/coverage to your area (you can utilize the new performance dashboard to see areas. Obviously only try these things if it makes sense for you and your business, but it may be worth trying some of them out to see if it makes a difference.

If you try any of this and it persists, let me know. I would imagine the biggest factor is probably demand - wondering if current economic conditions/uncertainty might be causing people to feel uncertain and/or hold off on things, so maybe it will pick up in the next few weeks?

Hope this helps, even if just a little! But overall you are showing up in search results, so there isn't anything wrong with your account/profile.

I even tested it out just to see and you showed up #1 for house cleaners in your area when I searched it:

  • I’ve had the same problem. I spend close to $1000/month on leads, but for the last month I’ve received ZERO leads. None. I know the jobs are out there, because when I look under opportunities, they all fit my profile.

I called thumbtack and the person who answered basically said he guessed there was no demand for my work (absolutely not true, as evidenced in opportunities), and that he looked at my account and saw it had been viewed. Well, that’s true if one view over the last 30 days constitutes being viewed. I’m so fed up and frustrated. I don’t know what to do.

this is clearly an issue on the side of thumbtack. I get a ton of leads each month, but I’ve over the last month.

When leads slow down, I would check a few things before assuming there is no demand.

For cleaning services, I would look at the profile photos, reviews, service categories, pricing, service area, and response time. Sometimes small updates can make a difference, especially adding recent before-and-after photos or making the service descriptions clearer.

I would also make sure the profile includes the services customers are actively searching for, like deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, recurring cleaning, and one-time cleaning.

Another thing to check is whether your service area is too narrow or too broad. A good service area should match where you can realistically take jobs and still provide great service.

Customers need to feel trust quickly, so the profile should answer their biggest questions before they even message.
