Question about TT numbers

Some clarifications:

1. Numbers are not temporary/do not expire.
2. Numbers can be called, texted, etc, just like any other number.
3. Thumbtack's refund policy remains the same (ie spam/fake leads, leads outside preferences, etc, are still eligible for refunds), there is now additional refund protection for unresponsive refunds.
4. You are free to share your direct contact information whenever you would like, but if you send it before the customer responds you forfeit your eligibility for the additional unresponsive refund, but our baseline refund policy still applies.
5. Thumbtack does not block customer information once a pro is marked as hired. Information is only blocked if the pro declines the job or if the customer cancels the project (functionality here did not change with TT Numbers, it works the same way it did before)

Important to note that Gemini might be using old/outdated sources and/or confusing one feature with another, especially considering TT Numbers only rolled out nationwide 2 weeks ago. There are also a lot of misconceptions due to the way other platforms have rolled out masked numbers, and due to some versions that we tested last year. Hopefully this clears some of the confusion up!

All of that being said, I understand that you have not had a positive experience with conversion of leads after this roll out, so we appreciate your continued feedback and insight here, and again, we are sharing all of this with the team.
