Hi everyone! My name is Nadiia and my company is Solid Spark Illinois. I work in House Cleaning in Chicago, IL - residential cleaning, deep cleaning and move-in / move-out cleaning.

I have been in cleaning for over 3 years, but on Thumbtack for about a year. I am a mom of two little ones and I am just building my own business. I started this because I wanted flexible work that lets me be there for my kids while helping other busy families keep their homes shining.

I am so excited to join this Pro Community! My question for you - what helped you the most at the very beginning to get your first regular clients and 5-star reviews in cleaning?

For building regular clients, I'd also focus on making that first cleaning experience one customers want to repeat. A simple follow-up after the job, asking for a review, and letting them know you'd be happy to help with their next cleaning can go a long way toward turning that first booking into a recurring customer.

One tip I would share is to make your service descriptions very clear from the beginning. A lot of customers do not fully know the difference between regular cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, and recurring cleaning.

When your profile explains those services clearly, it helps customers choose the right option and helps you avoid confusion about price, time, and expectations.

I would also focus on real photos, fast replies, strong reviews, and follow-up after each job. In cleaning, trust is everything because customers are inviting you into their home.

The first few clients are important. Give them a great experience, and some of those one-time jobs can turn into long-term recurring customers.
