My name is Santiago, and I’m the owner of Chromacolor Painting Concept, a residential and commercial painting company based in Maryland.

I started Chromacolor with the goal of providing high-quality painting services while building a business based on professionalism, attention to detail, and great customer relationships. Over time, we’ve grown through referrals, repeat customers, and platforms like Thumbtack, and we’re now looking to continue expanding our business and take on more commercial projects.

As you're looking to grow into more commercial work, I think networking and building relationships with complementary pros can be especially valuable. General contractors, property managers, real estate professionals, and other home service businesses can all become potential sources of ongoing relationships and referrals.

I'd love to hear from some of our contractors who have made the jump from primarily residential work into commercial projects. What helped you build those first relationships and get your foot in the door?
