Trouble w "refunds" (in-app CREDIT!) for obvious double billing on lead

So this happened - judge for yourself.
A customer for my computer repair business send a request via target lead. Then a few minutes later, another customer - different name - in the same zip code sent me a lead for the identical ("Eye -- DENTICAL!") computer issue, with the SAME PHONE NUMBER.
Now normally this should be enough(!) but in the convo w the customer OF COURSE I asked if their request was the same as the other one, and they admitted they were the same person.
... In the Thumbtack chat on the app. IN the App! PROOOOF!!! Okay...

So I file for my "refund" - especially since I was approaching $50 for the week and was intent on not having the auto deduction hit(!) -- thumbtack of course "...Took a Look at the refund request" (..."refund!" HA! more like a credit to keep your money in the system) ... and they DENIED the request.
How? WHY? What further proof COULD they possibly need? Of course I got no real answer in the auto-denial - juts that crazy "THumbtack gets you in front of customers so you..." blah-blah... answers NOTHING.

So, I elevate this to a chat.
After several long waits, I finally get the word that my efforts had resulted in a "ONE TIME COURTESY CREDIT - for the cheapest OF THE TWO LEADS <<< OF COURSE!
I did not take the "one time courtesy" @#$% very well, and I let the guy on the text know it. HEre I am having to BEG for this "refund" and I show enough evidence to get a CONVICTION IN COURT(!), and "All I got was this lousy "one time courtesy" T-SHIRT?!?

Later that evening I received a "promotional credit" for the other of the double leads.

SO that's it. SIX DAYS of this ordeal. Unnecessary. Thumbtack charged me the full amount of my weekly leads on Sunday 9/17-Monday 9/18 at Midnite anyway, then the "refunds" were applied to my account after they already got their money. So, they really paid out nothing. Money was still taken wrongly. I "get" to use the credited money for ANOTHER targeted lead - for which (on another one) I was wrongly charged!
(THIS SYSTEM seems like it was devised in one of Dante's rings of hell - You use/do X and it robs you of money then you get money back BUT U can only use it to....use/do X AGAIN?!?) Huh??
Look, With the ability to PAY OUT now, it seems crazy that "refunds" cannot actually be credited BACK TO THE FUNDING SOURCE NOW.
And the customer? HE did the occasional "How do I know I will get my computer back?" <GROAN> (then WHY are you using THumbtack to fix your computer? GOTO BEST BUY and let them give you the assurance U need FOR 40% MORE MONEY!) I as usual, referred them to my 200+ 5-star reviews and my "TOP PRO" badge and tell them to search for any entries where I stole a BROKEN NON WORKING laptop(!).. :-√
