SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE!!!!! I was a member of Service Magic which became Home Advisor which is now Angi Leads. There is currently a nationwide civil lawsuit against them for false leads and over charging for incorrect leads. Thumbtack should be next to follow given the outrageous claims of successful leads but not refunding for multiple incorrect details. I never signed up for an account that i apparently have but cannot access. Phone calls lead to nowhere in an automated loop that always hangs up. The texts and emails are useless and you never receive a response. This should be stopped. All contractors need to be able to respond to a service that milks them for their hard earned money and waves off any responsibility or concern for them, their actual customers! They give more attention to the consumer that doesn't pay their wages, while we waste our time, gas and energy trying to put food on the table. SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE!!!!!

I completely understand your frustration, I've experienced something very similar with Thumbtack. Being charged for leads with incorrect or inactive contact details is not only disappointing but also unfair. It’s outrageous that these platforms profit off our hard work while offering little support or accountability when things go wrong. We deserve reliable leads and a straightforward refund process when a lead is clearly invalid.

Something has to change, and until these companies start taking responsibility, we need to keep sharing our stories and demanding better service for contractors. Stay strong and keep pushing for accountability!
