I don't always post a recap from these sessions, but today we had such a great conversation, I wanted to share about it!

One of our Community members @Mage (music instructor and performer) posed a question to the group about how best to market an upcoming workshop that she is hosting. The other pros in the group had a lot of great suggestions that I think are applicable to so many different types of businesses. If you have an event coming up for your business, here's what other Top Pros suggested to help get the word out:

  • All of your business' social media accounts
  • Local in-person spots (like coffee shops)
  • Local Facebook groups
  • NextDoor
  • Meetup
  • Eventbrite

You can also post about your events here in the Community - you can add actual events in the events hub, or you can post a discussion in the main feed and tag me if you'd like me to tag in professionals in a certain industry (ie if @ShaquealThomas is hosting a workshop about building a painting business, or @Bretdouglas is hosting an event about how to use Thumbtack to build your landscaping business, I can tag in painters or landscapers)

What other ideas do y'all have for marketing events both live or virtual? Drop them in the comments. And, a huge thanks to everyone who attended this morning's session @Mage @ShaquealThomas @soonerkimmy @EVSNotary @Angela_NP @PSR @julieloveslove @AR2i @AlFaber @Jennifer_Degen @pmpazo @SOUNIQUE007 (tagging each of you so you can connect here if you'd like)

Also, I forgot to remind the group today that there is a great webinar happening next week — ROI with Thumbtack. Be sure to register, this series is new and has been really great so far! Sessions will also be available on demand here.

I think the takeaway from anything is it there are so many people who care about the success of the fellow pros. It's strange in this day and time to see other pros that care so much about each other. This isn't a single race to dominance. We're simple people who are trying to work hard to take care of our families, make a difference in the world that we're living in. I feel like we're all threads in the tapestry of thumbtack. The more we weave our stories together and show success thumbtacks tapestry grows. We can either be the weak link or we can be the strong thread that binds it all together. I'm a top pro have been ever since I got on the platform. I seem to have an innate ability to figure out the app and how to make it work successfully for my small family business. I'm Brett douglas, a top pro. I will always be here to help you call me at 386-500-8217. Let's do a free one-on-one consultation to figure out what we can do to get you to not only be a top pro but the experience the success of Thumbtack in your lives. I have mastered it every single week and I would love to share the secrets with you. warm regards to all our vendors just trying to make a difference in the Thumbtack world

Thank you so much, my fellow Pros, for your support, encouragement, and tips! it has been a challenged relocating to Los Angeles, but I know that it’s for the better as I will have more music business opportunity there than in Palmdale. My studio workshop is available free to the public, and you may register and learn more about it at https://mailchi.mp/magemusic/may-2024-workshop-reminder
