Sudden drop in leads

I recently ventured out on my own after working for many years in the insulation industry. I signed up for Thumbtack and immediately after I began receiving good quality leads and regularly. I’ve always made sure to respond immediately and follow all the guidelines suggested. Every review I have received has been amazing. Did not take long at all to receive Platnium status. I have my budget maxed out to unlimited and I’m just curious, why the sudden drop in leads sent? Is it because it’s just a slow time of year? Or is it something with the algorithm of how leads are dispersed? Any help with this matter would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi @Camco516! I took a look at your insights page and it looks like there haven't been a ton of jobs recently (I can see 39 jobs with 33 active pros over the last 3 months) — so, demand could definitely be low right now. Also, I think a lot of people are busy right now with Summer vacations once school gets out, etc. So it may just be a slow time and pick back up soon!

I also noticed that your response time is slightly slow (your average is 1h 21m, but statistics show a far greater likelihood to be hired if you respond within 5 minutes, if possible). It also shows that the average pro in your area has 31 reviews, so I would work on getting some more reviews too. You can have past clients or clients that hired you outside of TT leave you reviews using your review link, and you can also import reviews from Google (keep in mind though that only up to 10 unverified reviews will show up on your profile).

I would recommend trying these things to see if it makes a difference, but all of that being said, you are ranked #1 right now when I search in your category and area - so it really may just be that demand is currently down. Hope this helps!

And also — AMAZING work and getting to Platinum status and getting so many great reviews in such a short time!!!!

I appreciate you looking into it for me but, I’m sorry, I have to disagree. I absolutely could understand a slow down etc. But this was like an on/off switch. Went from getting tons of leads to none at all.I don’t understand? Iive done a great job representing Thumbtack and a willing customer to pay for leads. It has to be a shadow ban or something. It really does feel like that. Can you take a look? I’ve seen many comments expressing my exact concern and just trying to figure out my options at this point

I was able to do a search and you showed up #1 on the list, so you are still there. That's why I am thinking the demand is just low. I can't see anything else that it could be. Hopefully it picks up SOON! I will see if I can do some more digging, but everything that I looked at looked great and like I said I did a search myself and you were at the top of the list!
